Visum Recruitment are proud to be representing our client, a global leader within the bearings and motion technology industry, who are seeking an experienced and commercially driven OEM Sales Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing new OEM business opportunities while managing a portfolio of key customer accounts across the UK and Ireland. You will work closely with customers to deliver technical solutions, drive sales growth, and build long-term strategic partnerships within the industrial sector.

OEM Sales Engineer Job Overview

  • Develop and grow sales, margin and market share across a portfolio of OEM customers.
  • Identify, qualify and secure new OEM business opportunities, converting prospects into long-term customers.
  • Manage and develop key customer relationships, ensuring high levels of service and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the full sales cycle, from identifying opportunities through to project completion and ongoing account management.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and pricing to achieve sales and margin objectives.
  • Work closely with internal engineering, customer service and supply chain teams to deliver technical solutions.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately manage opportunities using Salesforce CRM.
  • Deliver technical presentations and support customers with product and application advice.

OEM Sales Engineer Job Requirements

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in an engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical sales within bearings, power transmission, rotating equipment or a similar industrial sector.
  • Proven track record of winning new business and growing key customer accounts.
  • Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders from shop floor through to board level.
  • Experience managing technical sales projects and delivering engineered solutions.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK and Ireland.
