Senior Project Manager
£65,000 – £75,000 + Comprehensive Benefits
London | Hybrid (3 office / 2 remote)
Some Project Managers coordinate programmes.
Others influence how projects are actually delivered.
This opportunity is very much aimed at the second group.
Our client is one of the UK’s leading multidisciplinary architecture and engineering consultancies and is looking to strengthen its Design & Project Management capability with an experienced Project Manager who is equally comfortable discussing programme, commercial matters, stakeholder management and design delivery.
Initially, you will play a key role supporting the delivery of complex healthcare projects across the UK, working alongside architects, engineers, consultants and contractor teams from the earliest design stages through delivery.
This isn’t simply about programme management.
It’s about understanding how design decisions affect:
- programme
- commercial position
- delivery risk
- client expectations
- contractor relationships
…and having the confidence to influence those conversations.
The successful individual will be trusted to take ownership rather than simply coordinate meetings.
You will enjoy this role if…
You naturally find yourself being the person who:
- resolves difficult stakeholder situations before they escalate
- confidently challenges contractors or clients where required
- protects programme and commercial position rather than simply reporting issues
- links technical decisions back to delivery implications
- enjoys leading multidisciplinary teams through complex projects
The type of experience we’re looking for
We would particularly like to hear from Project Managers ready for the next step in their career who can demonstrate experience of:
- NEC3 or NEC4 contract environments
- Early Warning Notices
- Compensation Events
- change control
- commercial risk management
- programme management
- multidisciplinary consultant coordination
- managing demanding client and contractor relationships
- complex healthcare, infrastructure or technically challenging projects
Healthcare experience would be highly advantageous, although we would also welcome applications from individuals operating on similarly complex projects where stakeholder management, commercial awareness and programme ownership have been central to the role.
The environment
One of the things that makes this opportunity particularly attractive is the people you will be working alongside.
You will become part of a genuinely multidisciplinary team where architects, engineers, designers and technical specialists work collaboratively to solve complex delivery challenges on very creative flagship schemes.
You will also benefit from working closely with highly experienced senior professionals who are invested in developing the next generation of project and design leaders, creating an environment where learning, collaboration and career progression are actively encouraged.
