Salary: £70,000 – 70,000 per year
Requirements
- We require a good degree, typically a 2.1 or above, in Computer Science, Electronics, or a similarly applicable engineering discipline, together with strong pre-university grades, mostly A* or As at A-level or equivalent.
- We require substantial commercial experience developing real-time, multithreaded software in C++ for Linux.
- We require coding skills in Python for automated tests and tools.
- We require familiarity with Git-based version control and unit test frameworks such as GoogleTest.
- We value some experience in medical software development, particularly knowledge of IEC 62304.
- We consider experience in another highly regulated industry to be applicable.
- We would also value experience with the Qt Framework, comms protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, TCP-IP, or USB, CI/CD tooling, or medical health record formats such as HL7FHIR.
- We require excellent communication skills, problem-solving ability, and initiative.
- We require eligibility to live and work in the UK.
Responsibilities
- We design and implement dependable real-time control systems.
- We design and implement intuitive user interfaces.
- We design and implement interfaces that integrate seamlessly with healthcare data repositories.
- We liaise closely with clients.
- We work alongside colleagues from electronics, mechanical engineering, and other disciplines.
- We contribute from the outset to a wide variety of high-technology healthcare devices.
- We undertake some UK and international travel as part of the client-facing nature of the role.
- We help bring beneficial medical technologies to market.
