Service Architect

We are seeking an experienced Service Architect to join a high‑profile Ministry of Defence (MOD) programme on a long‑term contract.

• Current DV Clearance is essential
• On site in Hampshire
• 18 months +
• Outside IR35
• £650 – £750 a day

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop end‑to‑end service architecture aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Produce service designs that meet operational, security, and supportability standards.
• Work closely with technical architects, engineering teams, service management, and stakeholders.
• Ensure service transition and operational readiness for new and enhanced services.
• Contribute to service governance, risk management, and continual service improvement.
• Create and maintain service design documentation, operating models, and support processes.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Service Architect within complex enterprise or government environments.
• Strong understanding of IT service design and service management principles.
• Experience working on secure or defence‑related programmes.
• Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and translate business requirements into effective service solutions.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Active DV (Developed Vetting) clearance is mandatory.
