Senior Civil Engineer – Water & Flooding

The Opportunity
You’ll join a growing team delivering flood resilience and water management schemes across the UK, working on projects from early feasibility through to detailed design and construction support. With a strong pipeline of secured work and a genuine commitment to professional development, this role offers the chance to take ownership of projects while continuing to develop your technical and leadership skills.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the development and delivery of flood management and water engineering designs.
- Producing and reviewing feasibility studies, appraisal reports and technical assessments.
- Developing innovative engineering solutions and presenting options to clients and stakeholders.
- Preparing and checking design calculations, drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Managing project programmes, resources and budgets.
- Building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Supporting bid submissions and business development activities.
- Undertaking site inspections, surveys and contractor supervision when required.
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to engineers within the team.

About You
You’ll likely be a Chartered Engineer, or approaching Chartership, with experience delivering flood risk management, drainage, water or civil infrastructure projects within a consultancy or engineering environment.
Experience and Skills
You’re comfortable producing technically sound engineering solutions, managing project delivery and working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams. Experience in flood management design, feasibility studies, project management and relevant industry standards will be highly advantageous, alongside strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
