Role Overview

Future Fuels Manager – SAF, responsible for shaping how easyJet sources and secures Sustainable Aviation Fuel in a developing and capacity‑constrained market.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll engage directly with fuel majors, SAF producers, and emerging upstream players to influence how we access supply, structure agreements, and meet our sustainability ambitions.
  • Lead engagement with SAF producers, fuel majors, and upstream partners to develop long‑term supply opportunities.
  • Support the creation and delivery of short, medium, and long‑term fuel strategies focused on SAF and future fuels.
  • Structure and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including long‑term contracts and evolving pricing models.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align on sustainability targets, regulatory requirements, and operational needs.
  • Build strong supplier relationships to drive value, performance, and innovation.
  • Analyse commercial proposals, including pricing, regulatory impacts, and long‑term assumptions.
  • Ensure procurement governance and compliance while adapting to a developing and less standardised market.
  • Produce insights and reporting to support strategic decision making and investment planning.
  • Contribute to reducing fuel consumption and improving efficiency across operations.

Qualifications

  • Strong commercial acumen with experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements.
  • Knowledge of fuel markets, SAF, or broader energy value chains.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a developing and sometimes ambiguous market.
  • Confident influencing and engaging senior stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills across diverse supplier groups.
  • Experience working with long‑term contracts and evolving commercial frameworks.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial and pricing models.
  • Self‑starter with drive, resilience, and a focus on delivery.
  • Understanding of regulatory environments such as UK ETS or EU ETS is beneficial.
  • Degree level education or equivalent experience.
  • CIPS or similar qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
