We’re looking for an experienced Customer Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of finance software customers, driving long-term relationships, customer retention, product adoption, and commercial growth.

About the Role

This is a customer-focused commercial role, split 50% account management & retention and 50% product growth and expansion.

You’ll become a trusted advisor to finance leaders, helping customers maximise the value of their finance management solution while identifying opportunities to introduce additional functionality, modules, and complementary IRIS solutions that support their evolving business needs.

What You’ll Be Doing

50% – Account Management, Retention & Customer Success

  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with finance leaders and key stakeholders across your customer portfolio.
  • Drive high customer retention through proactive engagement, regular business reviews and value-led conversations.
  • Understand each customer’s strategic objectives and align our solutions to support their financial and operational goals.
  • Act as the primary commercial contact for your customers, ensuring a consistently positive customer experience.
  • Identify potential risks early and develop retention plans to secure renewals.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Success, Support, Professional Services and Product teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

50% – Product Adoption, Upsell & Portfolio Growth

  • Identify opportunities to expand customer usage of finance management capabilities, including reporting, automation, budgeting, forecasting, purchasing, expense management, and financial controls.
  • Promote new functionality, product enhancements and complementary IRIS finance solutions that deliver measurable business value.
  • Lead consultative commercial conversations that uncover customer challenges and translate them into solution opportunities.
  • Manage the full sales cycle for upgrades, cross-sell and expansion opportunities.
  • Support customers through system enhancements, process improvements and digital transformation initiatives.

Pipeline, Forecasting & Commercial Ownership

  • Maintain accurate forecasting and opportunity management within Salesforce.
  • Keep CRM records up to date with customer activity, pipeline progression and revenue forecasts.
  • Take full commercial ownership of your portfolio, delivering against renewal, upsell and cross-sell targets.
  • Develop strategic account plans to maximise long-term customer value and revenue growth.
