Business Development Officer

This full-time post is available immediately on a fixed term basis until the 18th of June 2027, covering maternity leave.

Applications for secondments will be considered subject to agreement from your current line manager.

The starting salary will be from £33,951 on Grade E, depending on knowledge, skills and experience.

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

Exeter Innovation

The Exeter Innovation Directorate focuses on partnerships and collaborative working with external, corporate partners and driving place-based innovation. EI’s key aim is to draw on the University’s education, research and physical assets to add value and impact to our partners. This includes research collaboration, commercial services, new venture development, skills, placements, and education partnerships.

About You

We are looking for an individual who can work towards continuously improving the employer partner relationship. The successful role-holder will be expected to proactively engage with new and current employer partners both to recruit apprentices and to manage the ongoing relationship with our employer partners.

You will work effectively and flexibly within a wider relationship management team in a busy environment to deliver an excellent, customer focused and seamless service, and you will be expected to gain an in depth knowledge of apprenticeship regulations and the programmes offered by the University.

Applications from experienced business development and account management professionals with knowledge of the relevant sectors will be welcome.
