Become a Lead First Team Physiotherapist: Help Shape the Future of Women’s Football on the South Coast

We are delighted to be supporting an ambitious and forward-thinking women’s football club on the South Coast in the search for a Lead First Team Physiotherapist. The club continues to invest in its high-performance environment and is committed to creating the conditions for players and staff to thrive.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and proactive physiotherapist to play a key role in supporting the health, wellbeing, and performance of the First Team squad. Working as part of a multidisciplinary performance team, you will lead the delivery of injury prevention, rehabilitation, pitch-side medical support, and ongoing player management, helping to drive high standards across the performance environment.

The Impact You’ll Make:

  • Lead all medical and health-related care for the First Team players.
  • Deliver world-class physiotherapy and rehabilitation services, including pitch-side emergency care.
  • Develop tailored injury prevention and return-to-play programmes.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure full compliance with league regulations.
  • Liaise with external consultants and medical specialists as required.
  • Mentor and support other medical and sports science staff.
  • Promote a culture of education, wellbeing, and high performance.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
  • A passion for developing best practice in women’s football.
  • Leadership experience within a medical or high-performance environment.
  • A collaborative approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised, professional, and confident working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
