Groundscare Machinery Engineer – Workshop & Mobile

Location: Cornwall.

Pay: OTE £45,000-£50,000 – Basic: £30,000-£37,000 (Plus Overtime) Depending on Industry Experience.

Hours: Monday – Friday (Days + Call‑out rota).

Overview

This role involves working with a variety of equipment – walk‑behinds, ride‑on mowers, turf equipment, sprayers/spreaders, and rakes – both in the workshop and at customer premises.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, service, and repairs on machinery in‑house and on‑site.
• Conduct pre‑delivery set‑up for new or used equipment.
• Complete job‑related administration and reports (job cards, DTAC, timesheets, etc.).
• Maintain a tidy and organised workstation.
• Carry out vehicle diagnostics.
• Follow company health & safety rules.
• Undertake training.
• Mentor apprentices.
• Use IT confidently.

Qualifications & Skills

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid vehicle driving licence.
• Ideally familiar with competitive products.
