Norton’s are looking for additional Heavy Plant Fitters to join our team, based from our yard in Ystradgynlais South Wales. The role is for workshop and mobile works, to help keep our plant, equipment and machinery running safely, efficiently and tip top performance.
The role will be responsible for:
– Servicing, maintaining and repairing various machine types and manufacturers
– Diagnostics, fault finding and carrying out effective repairs
– Workshop maintenance and servicing
– Onsite breakdowns and repairs
– Completing job cards, service reports and maintenance records
– Working closely and interacting well with our other fitters, parts and management
– Supporting the wider (company) team and contributing to a positive and harmonious environment
Previous experience in working on various items of plant, equipment and diesel engined machinery is essential for this role.
Candidate must hold a valid UK driver’s licence for a car. Holding a minimum Level NVQ qualification is preferable, though not essential. Time served experience would be taken into consideration.
Our workshop is a purpose built facility.
The position is full time Mon-Sat. Normal weekday hours are 07:00-17:00. Weekend hours are Saturdays only 07:00-12:00.
Overtime payable. Competative remuneration package. Weekly paid. Company vehicle provided.
