Morson Edge are recruiting on behalf of a leading Aerospace manufacturers based in Broughton near Chester.

This position is initially for 12 months although there is a likelihood the role may become long-term.

Pay Rates: £27.00 Per hour PAYE plus £3.91 holiday pay / OR £36.12 Umbrella

Hours – Flexible – hours to be worked between 7am-7pm weekdays .

Hybrid working – 4 days on site

Duration: 12 months+/35 hours per week

Location: Broughton

In this position you will act within the international Transport & Logistics network and will contribute to the overall performance and improvement of General Cargo Transport Overseas in the UK with the support of the Lead Transport Provider (LTP). In support of the Transport General Cargo Overseas Manager you will be responsible for the LTP contract compliance and will represent the General Cargo Transport Overseas locally to internal customers (SCL, FALs, Procurement), as well as to vendors, customers and other Group affiliates.

Main Duties

  • Implementation period: – Transport Process definition and adaptation
  • Interface /network creation between entities
  • Creation and implementation of Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • IT customization and implementation (usage of Transport Apps for plants and suppliers)
  • Analysis on improvement / rationalization for all flows

Day-to-day business: –

  • Managing transportation flows both Inbound and Outbound to achieve service level goals, requirements and expectations.
  • Managing the administration and workload associated with Transportation.
  • Working with the Management Team in the development of new processes to achieve service excellence. Performing additional tasks and assignments as directed by Management.
  • Coordination of X-plant transport processes.
  • Creation of Transport Specifications in order to meet internal customers requirements.
  • Perform controlling of service providers.
  • Create, challenge, validate change requests, ad-hoc service requests. Complaint and Claim management. Support preparation of capital expenditure / AOP planning

Personal skills:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • A person with self-assurance and the ability to make decisions independently
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (domestic/international)
