Practice Education Facilitator
Practice Education Facilitator, full time 37.5 hours per week. Band 6 £39,959 – £48,117 per annum. Closing date: 14 July 2026.
Responsibilities
- Collaboration with Local Services: Engaging with local services to provide valuable learning experiences for all students and learners.
- Focus on Global Majority Staff and Students: Enhancing the learning experience for global majority staff and students.
- Supporting Student Nurses, Allied Professionals and Support Workers, providing both remote and face‑to‑face support.
- Assisting Educators and Assessors by developing action plans and making reasonable adjustments for struggling students.
- Training and supporting preceptees and preceptors by conducting drop‑in sessions in practice areas to offer additional support and guidance.
- Identification and Evaluation: Regularly review and assess practice learning environments to ensure they meet quality assurance standards. Use feedback from students and staff to identify areas for improvement.
- Quality Assurance: Implement a robust framework for continuous quality improvement, including regular audits and feedback loops.
- Development and Support: Offer training programmes and resources to supervisors and assessors to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Supervision Structures: Establish clear supervision and support structures to ensure consistent and effective practice education.
- Collaboration with HEIs: Work closely with Higher Education Institutions to align practice learning opportunities with academic requirements.
- Service Staff Engagement: Engage service staff in the planning and delivery of practice learning to maximise student support.
- Inclusive Opportunities: Develop initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion within practice education and career development.
- Positive Learning Experiences: Create a supportive and inclusive environment that enhances student learning and workforce satisfaction.
- Links with Freedom to Speak Up Guardian: Maintain open communication channels to address concerns and promote a culture of transparency.
- Networks and Relationships: Foster strong relationships with managers, assessors and educational institutions to support practice education.

Person Specification
Evidence of 12 months post‑registration Practice
- Assessor / Practice Supervisor experience.
- Evidence of supporting with the implementation of an Action Plan to support struggling students and PA/PS’s.
Evidence of professional registration
- Evidence of delivering or supporting with clinical teaching sessions and reflective practice.
- Evidence of collaboratively working with HEIs.
- Evidence of supporting preceptees as a preceptor.
- Up‑to‑date with preceptor training.
