The ITS Programme Manager is a strategic and operational partner to the Head of IT & Technical Services (ITS), responsible for driving the delivery of the ITS portfolio, supporting strategy, and improving organisational effectiveness.

ITS Project Portfolio
- Define and maintain the ITS roadmap
- Lead annual planning cycles
- Oversee ITS portfolio governance and delivery
- Lead cross‑functional initiatives across ITS and the organisation
- Ensure reporting and stakeholder visibility
- Align initiatives with organisational strategy
Responsibilities beyond Portfolio Management
- Lead budget planning and financial oversight
- Drive operational improvements
- Oversee licence management
- Strengthen governance and committees
- Represent ITS in risk and stakeholder forums
Leadership Responsibilities
- Provide matrix leadership across projects

Requirements
- 6‑7 years minimum relevant project management or business administration experience
- An undergraduate degree in IT or relevant fields or demonstrable equivalent experience
- Project management training: PRINCE2, MSP or equivalent qualification
- Ability to motivate, engage and lead project teams
- Broad demonstrable experience of successfully supporting projects
- Tailor expert knowledge to project needs and circumstances
- Experience with project management tools (e.g. Smartsheet/Alfresco)
- Capable of working under own initiative
- Persistence to carry tasks through to conclusion
- Flexible and positive attitude
- Ability to deal positively with change and adapt to new situations
- Ability to constructively challenge ways of working and gain support to change
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
