Lead Solution Architect / Strategic Technology Advisor
I’m working with an organisation looking for a Lead Solution Architect / CTO-calibre Technology Advisor to help shape key technology decisions and provide clear architectural direction across a developing IT strategy.
This is a senior, strategic role suited to someone who can operate above individual solution design, work closely with business strategy and architecture teams, and bring structure, credibility, and momentum to a complex technology environment.
The role: You’ll be helping to define and land direction across several important areas, including:
- Enterprise and solution architecture direction
- DNS and core infrastructure considerations
- Certifications, standards, and governance
- IT governance and decision-making frameworks
The focus is not just on producing documentation — this person needs to help the organisation make decisions, align stakeholders, and move forward with confidence.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience operating as a Lead Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, Head of Architecture, Technology Director, or CTO-level advisor
- Strong generalist technology background across cloud, data, integration, infrastructure, governance, and architecture
- Solid understanding of Azure and modern integration approaches
- Ability to work closely with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder presence, gravitas, and the ability to build trust quickly
- Pragmatic, hands‑on mindset — someone who can advise strategically but still drive practical outcomes
Engagement:
- Location: Lancashire
- Working pattern: Around 2 days per week onsite
- Duration: Initial 3–6 months, with scope to evolve depending on outcomes
This would suit a senior architect or technology leader who enjoys stepping into complex environments, bringing clarity, and helping organisations make better technology decisions.
