MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading food manufacturing business to recruit a Junior HR Business Partner. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious HR professional to develop their business partnering capability while supporting a high-performing manufacturing operation. This is an initial 6 month FTC.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you’ll work closely with operational leaders to provide pragmatic HR advice across employee relations, performance, engagement, recruitment and organisational change. You’ll help deliver the people strategy, use HR data to inform decision-making, and ensure policies and processes are applied consistently across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with managers to provide proactive HR support across manufacturing and operational teams.
  • Advise on employee relations matters including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance cases.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, talent development and succession planning activities.
  • Deliver employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives that strengthen culture and retention.
  • Produce and analyse HR metrics to identify trends and support business decisions.
  • Contribute to HR projects, continuous improvement initiatives and organisational change.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies and HR best practice.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor or Junior HR Business Partner role.
  • Exposure to employee relations within a manufacturing, FMCG or similarly fast-paced environment.
  • Good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication and organisational skills.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified or working towards qualification is desirable.

Salary: £40k+
