Senior Product Engineer

Make the NHS the most advanced healthcare system in the world by building technology that reduces administrative burden and improves patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Own and shape the experience used daily by patients and clinicians, focusing on performance, clarity, and reliability.
  • Build and scale the product across teams and directly with customers.
  • Own ambiguous problems end‑to‑end, from design through to deployment.
  • Ship intuitive, high‑quality user experiences relied on by clinicians and patients.
  • Identify and solve performance and usability challenges before they become problems.
  • Influence product direction and collaborate with engineering, product and design teams.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a product‑mindful full‑stack engineer.
  • Expertise in React and TypeScript.
  • Experience in a startup or scale‑up, especially at an early stage.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and taking responsibility for outcomes.
  • Strong focus on user experience, performance and simplicity.
  • Track record of raising engineering and product standards.

Technical Environment

  • Full‑stack (backend leaning) with React, TypeScript.
  • Design and consume scalable, well‑structured APIs.
  • Work with production systems and performance considerations.
  • Integrate modern AI models into real‑world healthcare workflows.
  • Experience scaling product environments or high‑stakes domains (health, finance, infra) is an advantage.

Success Metrics

  • Ship user experiences clinicians and patients rely on daily.
  • Drive product direction beyond implementation.
  • Prevent performance and usability problems before they arise.
  • Be a trusted voice across engineering, product and design.
  • Help the team deliver faster and better.

Salary & Location

Salary: £90,000 – £125,000 plus equity. Location: Stratford (London). 4 days in office, 1 day work‑from‑home.
