We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Paediatric Community Speech and Language Therapist to join our client’s team in Wirral. This role involves carrying out updated assessments for children with an EHCP, updating assessments and care plans, and providing face-to-face services. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the communication abilities and overall development of school‑aged children.
Responsibilities
The Paediatric Community Speech and Language Therapist will be responsible for conducting updated assessments, developing and updating care plans, and collaborating with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support. This role includes covering any clinical area across Children’s Speech and Language Therapy, working in both clinic and school settings across the Wirral, maintaining accurate records, and participating in multidisciplinary meetings.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant registration with a professional body (e.g., HCPC)
- Experience working in a similar post within the NHS
- Qualified to Masters Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
- Strong understanding of paediatric speech, language, and communication disorders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in using therapy platforms and technology
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest research and best practices in the field
