Oracle/SQL Database Administrator
Location: Manchester/Barrow – Hybrid 80% office & 20% home
Duration: 3 months contract (24/08/2026 to 20/11/2026)
Rate: £470 per day inside IR35
To be considered you must have active SC Clearance and be a a sole UK national
Role Description:
DBA required to support Oracle and SQL Server databases within the Dragonfly secure environment, ensuring performance, availability, and stability of BAU services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, maintain, and tune Oracle & SQL Server databases
- Manage incidents, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Perform backups, restores, patching, and upgrades
- Support HA/DR (e.g. AlwaysOn, Data Guard/RAC)
- Ensure security and compliance in a secure environment
Key Skills:
- Strong Oracle and/or SQL Server DBA experience
- Performance tuning and troubleshooting expertise
- Backup/restore and HA/DR knowledge
- ITIL / managed service experience preferred
