About the opportunity

We are currently looking for an ambitious and self-starting Cost Manager to join our expanding Building and Places team in the EMEA region to help deliver complex projects for our Clients.

In this role you will:

  • Create Detailed Cost Analyses: Prepare project cost analyses (including the final account and capital allowance claims) based on agreed format or special requirements for cost, design etc.
  • Lead Value-Engineering Efforts: Facilitate, set up and manage value-engineering exercises.
  • Streamline Tendering Processes: Facilitate, set-up and manage tendering processes (including all GC and other procurements as required).
  • Offer Expert Contract Advice: Provide specialist technical advice in relation to contracts in support of the VDC’s Legal Advisors.
  • Manage Contract Sums: Facilitate, set-up and manage contract sums (GMP, lump sum, etc. dependent on advice given by PM).
  • Coordinate with PM Team: Project administration – Co-ordinate with project management team to provide regular feedback from T&T Global regarding all New Site Development (NSD) development related topics (e.g. PEP, ERL, IMS, POs, Design and other Program Level related items).
  • Deliver Insurance Solutions: Provide certain insurance related services (estimates of replacement costs and claim confirmations).
  • Customise Construction Management: Provide Contract specific scope of services relating to construction management and design and build contracts.

About you

  • 5-10 years of experience as a Cost Manager in assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity.
  • Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience.
  • Able to prepare and deliver role-related training to improve project management skills internally.
  • Must possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, together with a common sense and flexible approach.
  • Experience in CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and a strong understanding of MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) construction management is a strong preference.
