The Role
The Embley Transport Manager is responsible for the school’s extensive in-house minibus fleet, which transports over 350 pupils to and from school across 27 routes.
The post holder will ensure that drivers and vehicles are available to fulfil the daily routes as well as provide support to activities within the school, such as trips and match fixtures.
The post holder will be the primary point of contact for parents, staff and members of the public regarding the transport service. Therefore, they must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
This is an extremely busy role that delivers a pivotal service. The successful candidate will be organised, give attention to detail and be able to stay calm and professional under pressure.
The minibus routes are mainly run in-house with our own minibuses and Embley employed drivers. We are looking for a confident team leader who can demonstrate the skills required to manage a large permanent team alongside some contractors and relief drivers.
