Healthcare Assistant

We are looking for an experienced Health Care Assistant to work within a Community Rehabilitation Centre and Residential Care Home, providing personal care and support to people over the age of 65.

SHIFT PATTERNS

Long days 07:30‑20:00, nights 20:00‑07:30 – shifts available 7 days a week. Days can be split into early 07:30‑14:00 or late 14:00‑20:00.

PAY RATES

£14.24p/h – £18.18p/h PAYE inclusive of holiday pay.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming, while promoting dignity and independence.
• Help clients with mobility aids, transfers, and exercises to improve strength and coordination, aiming for increased independence in movement.
• Provide companionship, active listening, and emotional reassurance to service users undergoing the reablement process, fostering a supportive and empathetic environment.

Qualifications

• 12‑24 months UK experience working as a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker in a Health & Social Care role.
• Relevant qualification, Level3 NVQ in Health & Social Care or Care Certificate.
