Installation Technician

Our client is a well‑established specialist distributor and installation business seeking an Installation Technician to join their growing team.

Overview

This varied, hands‑on role involves the delivery, assembly and installation of large equipment at customer sites throughout the UK. The position is suitable for someone who enjoys practical work, travel and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out quality checks on products prior to dispatch.
• Load company vehicles and prepare them for deliveries.
• Deliver equipment safely to customer locations across the UK.
• Assemble and install products on‑site to a high standard.
• Ensure customers receive an excellent installation experience.
• Work closely with a colleague on most installations.
• Resolve customer queries professionally and support the warehouse team with product preparation and pre‑delivery assembly.

Person Specification

• Previous experience in a delivery, installation or field‑based role.
• Full UK driving licence and eligibility to drive a company vehicle.
• Good practical/DIY skills and confidence using hand tools.
• Physically fit and comfortable handling large, heavy items.
• Friendly, professional manner with excellent customer service skills.
• Reliable, organised and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Benefits

• Basic salary of £27,000 with paid overtime (OTE approximately £32,000).
• Monthly overtime potential of £400‑£500, depending on workload.
• Monday‑Friday, 37.5 hours per week plus overtime.
• 20 days of holiday plus bank holidays.
• On‑site parking.
• Company pension scheme.
• Occasional UK travel, including approximately two overnight stays per month.
• Based in the Epsom area.
