Job Overview
1:1 SEN Support Assistant (ASD & ADHD) – Wandsworth – Start September. This role is based in a bilingual primary school serving around 130 pupils aged 4‑11. The school offers a strong inclusive ethos and a bilingual curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with Autism and ADHD.
- Implement personalized strategies to support engagement, communication, and emotional regulation.
- Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Support the pupil during lessons and unstructured times over the school day.
- Create a positive, structured and nurturing learning environment.
- Monitor progress and contribute toward SEND support plans.
Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND.
- Strong communication, patience, and adaptability skills.
- Proactive, resilient, and passionate about supporting young people.
- Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD is highly desirable.
- A background in Psychology, Education, or a related field would be advantageous.
