What We Are Looking For

We’re seeking a well‑rounded Engineering Manager who can operate confidently across technical delivery, team leadership and commercial oversight. This role requires someone who can balance strategic thinking with hands‑on involvement – able to manage competing priorities, lead a multidisciplinary team and ensure engineering outputs are delivered safely, on time, to quality standards and within budget. You’ll be a strong communicator and decision‑maker, capable of influencing stakeholders, driving continuous improvement and taking full ownership of engineering performance in a fast paced environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversee engineering delivery to ensure outputs are high‑quality, compliant and delivered on time
  • Support manufacturing, procurement and operations with technical input to enable efficient project execution
  • Manage engineering budgets, resources and performance, ensuring delivery against cost, quality and schedule targets
  • Provide technical governance, approving designs and key engineering decisions in line with standards and legislation
  • Support tenders, proposals and business development activities with technical expertise
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients and suppliers to support successful delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement and contribute to engineering strategy, systems and best practices
  • Ensure alignment with company engineering processes, systems and global standards
  • Promote a strong QHSE culture and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and ethical standards

Essential

  • Degree‑qualified or Chartered Engineer (or equivalent experience) with substantial experience in the energy or controls sector
  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering projects to schedule and budget
  • Strong technical knowledge in control systems, instrumentation, electrical and/or mechanical engineering
  • Experience of engineering governance, including design reviews, change control and technical assurance
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage at all levels
  • Ability to influence behaviours and drive a continuous improvement culture

Preferred

  • Chartered status (CEng) or equivalent professional registration
  • Experience working within ISO‑aligned management systems (9001, 14001, 45001) and quality assurance frameworks
  • Familiarity with offshore or hazardous area project delivery and associated regulations

Why Choose Us

We offer a competitive starting salary with an opportunity to advance, which will be dependent on competency starting level. You will join a supportive, values‑driven business where technical excellence, safety and continuous improvement are recognised and rewarded.
