A major UK housing association is undertaking a significant transformation of its enterprise data estate. They are seeking a Data Manager who can provide hands‑on leadership across Data Platform, Data Products, and Data Governance, with a strong architectural mindset and a clear focus on execution.
This role requires someone who can move work from intent to delivery: creating clarity, unblocking teams, enforcing standards, and ensuring high‑quality, trusted data assets are consistently delivered.

Key Responsibilities
The Role
- Own end‑to‑end delivery across platform, products and governance
- Drive standards, clarity and momentum across multi‑disciplinary teams
- Deliver certified data products and a stable semantic layer
- Embed governance, quality rules and audit readiness into delivery
- Work closely with BI, IT and Transformation to enable meaningful data outcomes
- Lead and develop teams across engineering, modelling and governance
Experience Required
- Leading data engineering/modelling/governance teams
- Delivering modern data platforms and semantic layers
- Managing delivery in fast‑paced, complex environments
- Turning business requirements into structured, deliverable data outputs
Desirable
- Legacy estate modernisation
- Regulated or audit‑heavy environments
- Azure / Databricks exposure
