Overview

We are looking to appoint a Senior Data Manager to play a key role in driving the effective use of data across the school. The successful candidate will lead on the collection, analysis and management of data, ensuring accuracy, integrity and accessibility to support teaching, learning and strategic decision‑making. You will take ownership of the school’s MIS, tracking documents, oversee statutory returns and work closely with senior leaders to provide meaningful insights that improve outcomes for students.

Responsibilities

The role includes:

  • Managing the school’s Management Information System (MIS) and supporting wider system use.
  • Collecting, analysing and ensuring the integrity of complex data sets.
  • Producing clear, stakeholder‑focused reports and insights.
  • Overseeing statutory returns and ensuring compliance.
  • Collaborating with senior leaders to inform evidence‑based decisions.
  • Managing competing priorities in an independent and collaborative manner.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience working with data systems, ideally within education.
  • Ability to analyse complex data and present it clearly to a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Confidence in managing MIS and supporting broader system use across a school.
  • Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
  • Proactivity, organisation and strong competing‑priority management skills.
