Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Supplier Account Manager who can build strong, productive relationships with our suppliers and help us get the very best value from our supply chain. In this role, you’ll take ownership of key supplier accounts, support colleagues in developing their supplier‑management skills, and play an active part in resolving issues when they arise.
As the Supplier Account Manager, you’ll also help shape and streamline our supplier base to ensure each product category is supported by high‑quality, value‑adding partners. You’ll work closely with colleagues across all levels of the business, building strong working relationships and acting as a trusted partner to our internal teams. This role is all about understanding our internal customers’ needs and ensuring those needs are met. Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 9 am to 5:15 pm; Friday, 9 am to 4:30 pm.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage key supplier relationships, supported by appropriate T&Cs and SLAs.
- Identify and lead supply‑chain improvement initiatives using data, systems insight and collaboration with colleagues and suppliers.
- Lead effective supplier negotiations and support Managers in developing strong supplier‑management capability.
- Assist Managers in resolving supplier issues and consolidating selected supplier categories to improve efficiency.
- Identify and manage supply‑chain risks and ensure purchased products meet regulatory, standards and customer compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience in Purchasing or Supplier Management within an engineering environment.
- Lift industry knowledge is an advantage.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong, sustainable supplier relationships.
