Courier Driver – Chandlers Ford
We have an exciting opportunity for a reliable individual to work as a van driver based at our Chandlers Ford site, responsible for collecting samples from customer sites and ALS drop‑off locations. The successful candidate will be punctual, able to multitask, and comfortable working in a team‑oriented environment. Candidates must have a clean driving record and a valid, up‑to‑date driving licence.
Days Per Week: Monday to Friday (11:00 – 19:30)
Contract: Full time and permanent
Annual Salary: £13.45 per hour + £2,000 location allowance

You will be driving a medium‑wheeled van, collecting and dropping off at the beginning and end of shift.
Day to Day
- Drive safely and courteously, acting as an ambassador for our brand and values.
- Maintain the temperature control of the vehicle’s fridge at all times.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and ALS staff.
- Stay flexible during collection runs to accommodate additional requests and traffic delays.
- Accurately complete paperwork, record van temperatures, and track sample consignments.
- Perform daily checks and basic maintenance (e.g., fluid top‑ups, cleaning).
- Notify the Transport Manager of any client issues or other pertinent information.
Essentials
- Good adherence to road rules and demonstration of excellent driver behaviour.
- Previous experience driving medium wheel‑base vans.
- Good working knowledge of UK road networks.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexible and reliable.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, enthusiastic, and friendly disposition.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Ability to act on information given and use initiative.
- Provide your own navigation; ALS can provide one if you do not have it.
