HGV Driver- Maydown Closing Date: 2nd July 2026, 5 pm

Permanent / Full Time Mon-Fri min 40 hours

Starting time: AM Shift (06:30am)

We are currently looking for full time HGV Drivers (C) to join our busy teams at our site in Electra Road, Maydown. As a Driver you will be required to complete multi-drop deliveries and collections throughout NI. The Driver will also be required to collect and move commercial containers when needed.

As an AM shift Driver, you will start at 06.30am based from the Maydown site, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays required on a rota basis.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Ensure excellent customer service skills that support the RiverRidge Brand
• Ensure Health & Safety adherence at all times
• Complete vehicle checks in line with Operating licence procedures, reporting any defects to the Transport Office (both electronically and verbally)
• Follow all regulations relating to driver’s hours and safe operation of heavy goods vehicles
• Work collaboratively with the transport team to ensure excellent operational service is maintained and continually improved
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Undertake all necessary training and cooperate with the security clearance process as required
• Undertake any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department
• Hold a valid HGV licence – Category ‘C’
• Hold a Digital Tachograph card and Full Driver CPC
• Full UK Driving Licence (max of 6 penalty points)
• Possess required security clearances
• Ability to undertake manual work
• Have a flexible approach to working hours, including finish times, weekends, and bank holidays
• Be a team player
• Have good communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Have knowledge of driver’s hours, rules, and regulations
• Have a minimum of 6 months HGV driving experience
• Have previous experience working in the waste industry
• Be subject to a successful driving assessment
• Provide documentation to confirm eligibility to work in the UK
