About the setting
This is a specialist educational environment supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Pupils may present with a range of barriers to learning including disrupted education, trauma‑related needs, neurodiversity and difficulties with emotional regulation.
The school provides a highly supportive, structured and nurturing approach where relationships are at the centre of everything. Small class sizes, tailored learning pathways and a strong pastoral framework enable pupils to re‑engage with education and build confidence over time.
The roles
We are seeking passionate and resilient teachers for two distinct vacancies:
- Art Teacher
- Food Technology Teacher
As an Art Teacher or Food Technology Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging, practical and meaningful lessons that support both academic progress and personal development.
As an Art Teacher or Food Technology Teacher, you will be expected to:
- Deliver creative, accessible and differentiated lessons tailored to SEMH learners
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour through consistent routines
- Contribute to a trauma‑informed and inclusive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with pastoral staff and wider teams
Candidate requirements
- QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience in SEMH, SEND, alternative provision or mainstream settings with strong behaviour experience
- A calm, resilient and nurturing approach
- The ability to inspire and engage learners who may have significant barriers to education
