Responsibilities
- Build trusting relationships by encouraging and supporting pupils in a respectful, non-judgmental manner
- Work with students in class, small groups, and on a one-to-one basis
- Support pupils with a wide range of SEND needs, including Cognition and Learning, Communication and Interaction, Physical and Sensory Needs, and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH)
- Provide tailored support, from mobility and access to resources, to helping students regulate emotions and engage with learning

- Understand how children develop, think and learn
- Create safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments
- Can collaborate with teachers and the SENCo to implement Learning Plans
- Are passionate about helping every student achieve beyond expectations
- Are confident with IT and recognise the role of technology in learning
- Have strong communication skills and can provide feedback to staff and parents/carers
- Are committed to safeguarding and student wellbeing
- Have high aspirations for all pupils and determination to see them succeed
- Can nurture pupils’ enjoyment of school and life
- Bring enthusiasm, positivity, and a good sense of humour
