Trainee Counter Assistant – Bristol, Job Ref: 11788

This is a permanent 22.5 hour position at our 773‑branch pharmacy located at 3 Baltic Place, Pill, Bristol, BS20 0EJ.

Shift pattern: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 09:00 – 17:30 with one hour unpaid break.

Responsibilities:

• Work under the supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Assist customers with the sale of over‑the‑counter medicines.
• Provide advice on symptoms and product use.
• Promote additional services offered by the branch.
• Replenish stock and support the pharmacy team.

Training:

You will be enrolled onto a Medicines Counter Assistant Course in branch and, upon qualification, will be able to confidently:

• Support colleagues in running a successful pharmacy service.
• Advise customers on managing common conditions encountered in the pharmacy.
• Recommend over the counter products appropriately.
• Support colleagues with receiving and handing out prescriptions.

Qualifications:

• Previous customer service experience.
• Great people skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Teamwork and a commitment to high standards of customer service.
