Ealing is currently looking for Senior Social Workers to join their Assessment team, paying up to £39 per hour!

  • Location: Ealing
  • Pay Rate: £39 per hour
  • Contract: Full-time, Temporary (Ongoing)
  • Working Pattern: 35 Hours per week

About the Role:

Ealing Children’s Services are seeking an experienced and dedicated Children’s Senior Social Worker / Specialist Social Worker to join their Assessment and Intervention Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner to manage complex cases, deliver high-quality interventions, and support positive outcomes for children and families.

As part of a fast-paced frontline service, you will undertake assessments, lead safeguarding interventions, and work collaboratively with children, families, and partner agencies to ensure children are protected and supported to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of complex and high-risk Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Looked After Children (LAC) cases.
  • Undertake statutory assessments and lead Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Prepare high-quality reports for court proceedings, child protection conferences, reviews, and other statutory meetings.
  • Represent Ealing Council in court proceedings and provide professional evidence where required.
  • Support less experienced colleagues and contribute to service development, best practice, and continuous improvement within the Assessment and Intervention Team.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience working within Children’s Assessment, Safeguarding, Child Protection, or Intervention Services.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding procedures, and court processes.
  • Excellent assessment, analytical, communication, and report‑writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a busy, multi‑agency environment.
