Qualified EYFS or KS1 Teacher – 1:1 Home Tuition
Location: Berkshire – in the child’s home

Duration: Full academic year
Hours: 10 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Working pattern: 2 hours per day
Role Summary
Quantum Scholars are looking for a caring, patient and experienced qualified EYFS or KS1 Teacher to provide 1:1 support for a non‑verbal child with very complex needs. The role is based in Berkshire and involves working with the child in their home for 2 hours per day, Monday to Friday. The successful teacher will provide a calm, nurturing and highly personalised approach, supporting the child’s engagement, communication, confidence and early learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support for a non‑verbal child in a home setting
- Plan and deliver highly personalised EYFS or KS1 learning activities
- Use a gentle, flexible and child‑centred approach
- Support communication, engagement and emotional regulation
- Adapt sessions to suit the child’s needs, responses and readiness to learn
- Build a positive and trusting relationship with the child
- Work professionally with parents/carers and relevant professionals
- Keep brief records of session content, engagement and progress
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status, with EYFS and/or KS1 teaching experience
- Experience supporting children with SEND, complex needs or communication difficulties
- Calm, patient, nurturing and flexible approach
- Ability to adapt learning to meet the needs of a non‑verbal child
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Clear commitment to safeguarding and supporting positive outcomes for children
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Possession of (or willingness to obtain) an enhanced DBS certificate and suitable references
