Overview

Protocol Education is recruiting teaching assistants to work in a state‑of‑the‑art special needs school in Harlow starting in September. The inclusive school offers the chance to work with students from early years to secondary, including those with autism, speech and language difficulties, and complex needs. No experience is required; the key attributes are commitment, passion, and dedication.

Responsibilities

  • Monday to Friday
  • A year‑long role, offering flexibility
  • Work with special‑needs students such as autism, speech and language, and learning difficulties
  • Support a small class of 6–8 students per class
  • Develop students’ communication and social awareness
  • Provide one‑to‑one support to develop learning
  • Assist in key subjects such as tailored numeracy and literacy
  • Support students in creative lessons such as art, music, swimming, and cooking

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position; in some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
