Sheddingdean is a diverse, one‑form entry primary school situated in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. Although we are a small school, we have big aspirations for every individual. Through our curriculum, we inspire our children to become a passionate life‑long learners, excited about what the world has to offer them and ready to play a positive and active role in their community when they leave us.

Salary: Grade 3 SCP 3 (Pro rata)

What You Need to Succeed
Qualities we are looking for in our Learning Support Assistants:
Person Specification – Essential
- Experience working with children (EYFS/KS1 preferred).
- Ability to support pupils 1:1 and in groups.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Patient and nurturing approach.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Understanding of safeguarding.
Person Specification – Desirable
- Relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification.
- Experience supporting SEND pupils.
- Knowledge of phonics and early years development.
- First Aid training (or willingness).
General Requirements
- Uphold the school’s values and ethos.
- Attend training and development.
- Follow all school policies.
- Maintain confidentiality.
