Empowering Learning is currently looking for a SEND (Complex needs/ASD) TeachingAssistant based in Leatherhead. The role is a long-term position starting as soon as possible. Ideally, we’re looking for candidates with a valid DBS however, we can assist in processing one should you not have a certificate.

Teaching Assistant – Requirements
- Good organisational skills, as well as flexibility and willing to work as part of a team.
- A passionate, empathetic and patient nature with a nurturing and inclusive approach to children and their families.
- The ability to develop positive and caring relationships with children
- A positive person who can work as part of a dedicated team and is able to offer commitment to the life of our school community.
- The ability to support a child with specific learning difficulties and some understanding and knowledge of different kinds of SEN including ASD, SLD, PMLD
- Recent experience, skills or knowledge of supporting children in a school setting would be an advantage.
