About The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver structured lessons and targeted interventions, set clear routines, and use a confident, no:nonsense teaching style to keep pupils focused, disciplined, and progressing. You’ll drive learning through direct instruction, firm expectations, and practical strategies that build independence and resilience.
Key Responsibilities As SEN Teacher
- Targeted Teaching: Deliver structured lessons, adapted resources, and subject-driven interventions.
- Classroom Leadership: Maintain clear routines, enforce expectations, and ensure consistent task completion.
- Behaviour Regulation: Apply steady, firm strategies to strengthen self-control, focus, and discipline.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor academic and behavioural progress, providing clear updates to senior staff.
- Professional Coordination: Work efficiently with support staff, leaders, and external services to maintain aligned standards.
To Succeed As An SEN Teacher, You Will Need
- Experience in SEN, SEMH, teaching, or structured educational settings.
- Strong presence with organised, controlled, and authoritative communication.
- Confidence leading classes and managing behaviour with clarity and consistency.
- Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to act quickly under pressure.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness through us.
