Year 5 Teacher – Full‑time, long‑term temporary and ongoing from September 2026

This Year 5 Teacher role offers a full‑time, long‑term opportunity starting in September 2026. The Year 5 Teacher will deliver engaging and well‑structured teaching that supports pupils’ academic progress and personal development during a key stage of their learning. Duties as Year 5 Teacher

  • Plan and deliver engaging Year 5 lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom environment.
  • Support pupils’ academic progress and preparation for upper Key Stage 2.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
  • Differentiate learning to support pupils with a range of abilities.
  • Maintain clear routines and high expectations for behaviour and learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum planning and consistency.
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and personal development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers where required.
  • Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times.

Ideal Year 5 Teacher

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status or is an Early Career Teacher.
  • Experience or training in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills or willingness to develop these.
  • Organised, reflective, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
  • Ability to motivate and engage pupils of varying abilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Your salary – dependent on experience – is paid weekly through PAYE, meaning no self‑employed or umbrella companies. The pay portal offers comprehensive physical and emotional well‑being services as standard, ensuring overall wellness.
