KS2 Teacher

Location: Clitheroe

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, part time

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in Clitheroe that is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS2 Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a nurturing school community where children are encouraged to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

The role is initially part‑time, with opportunities to increase to a full‑time position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering high‑quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on pupil progress.
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school.
  • Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Primary Education.
  • Valid Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • Ability to reliably commute to Clitheroe.
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities.
  • A passion for supporting children’s learning and development.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience leading a curriculum subject area.
  • Knowledge of current educational practices and assessment frameworks.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
  • Ability to deliver creative and engaging lessons across the curriculum.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a wider school team.
