Join our team as a Regional Maintenance Laborer and travel to Cahokia, Naples, Louisiana, La Grange, and Hull in Illinois and Missouri to perform preventative maintenance and expert diagnostics that keep our facilities operating at peak performance.
Responsibilities
- Fully participate in the company Safety Program and attend daily pre‑shift meetings.
- Travel frequently to facilities throughout the STL region.
- Perform all duties in compliance with OSHA, company safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct daily walk‑throughs of facility and equipment, planning and prioritizing work based on facility needs and supervisor input.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance per manufacturer’s recommendations and company policies to maximize equipment life and reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot reported or discovered equipment issues, repair or replace defective parts, and request assistance as needed.
- Maintain needed inventory to complete routine tasks and maintenance.
- Complete documentation accurately, promptly, and legibly.
- Perform general housekeeping and clean‑up of all work areas.
- Execute highly skilled maintenance tasks (electrical, fabrication, welding, cutting, blueprint reading, carpentry) as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (or equivalent experience).
- No prior experience required; 1 year preferred in an industrial environment.
- Mechanical Maintenance Certificate preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced understanding of mechanical maintenance, machine and tool operations, repair, and maintenance.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with ability to interact at all levels.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to accept and follow directions.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Ability to operate a vehicle and travel within the STL region.
Physical Demands
Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, crouch, crawl, kneel, and squat; climb stairs and ladders to significant heights; lift or move up to 50 lbs; work in confined spaces, on barge surfaces, and in extreme weather conditions; work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts as needed.
Pay Range
$26.00 – $30.00 per hour (actual pay may vary by location and experience).
