About the role

Assistant Bar Manager in our hotel. Showcase a passion and depth of knowledge of luxury beverages, leading and inspiring the team to be creative and innovative with the vision of capitalising on sales opportunities and creating an exceptional experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and foster team dynamics to ensure the team remains focused on meeting guests’ needs and brand standards.
  • Monitor the performance of the bar through analysis of guest feedback and financial results, initiating corrective action as needed.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Manage the departmental budget to reduce costs and maximise profitability.
  • Manage inventory, ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
  • Hold daily briefings with the team and attend daily Food and Beverage meetings with the leadership team to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Communicate and enforce policies and procedures with regards to pouring measures and age verification.
  • Manage staffing levels according to business demands.
  • Address any guest concerns promptly, attentively and efficiently.
  • Coach, train, and support the team to provide consistently high standards, while continually looking to improve.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and motivational abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and drive to maintain high standards.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Confidence and professionalism when interacting with high‑profile guests.
  • Thorough understanding of licencing laws.
  • Proven experience in managing, coaching and developing teams.
  • Approachable and positive manner with a “can do” attitude.
  • A smart and professional appearance.
  • Proven track record in a similar position within a 5‑star hotel.
  • Excellent standard of English, both written and spoken.
  • Experience of working with brand standards.
