Role: Estates Compliance, Risk & Safety Officer
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours
Location: DVLA – Swansea – SA6 7JL
The Estates Compliance, Risk & Safety Officer supports the effective delivery, monitoring, and assurance of statutory compliance, risk management and safety performance across the estate. The postholder provides experienced oversight of compliance activities, ensuring inspections, certification and remedial actions are tracked, validated and reported, identifies compliance risks, challenges performance and supports audit readiness.
Role Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor statutory compliance activities across the estate, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and contractual obligations.
- Prepare, coordinate and maintain compliance evidence packs for internal, client and statutory audits.
- Provide compliance guidance and support to supervisors, coordinators and administrative colleagues.
- Prepare summaries, trackers and briefing notes for senior managers and client forums.
- Support and participate in assurance inspections and compliance reviews.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong compliance background within FM or a related environment.
- Sound knowledge of legislation, compliance and regulatory systems.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to influence operational teams while negotiating with persistent stakeholders.
- Proven experience supervising contractors and service partners.
