HGV Class 1 Driver

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established client based in Crumlin, South Wales, for an experienced Class 1 (CE) Trunker and Shunter Driver. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and professional depot offering reliable weekday work, early morning starts, and a supportive team environment. The role offers a mix of trunking and shunting duties, ideal for drivers who enjoy variety in their day.

About the Role

Trunker Duties:

• Trunking goods to regional distribution centres such as Hemel Hempstead or Worcester.
• Ensuring secure and timely deliveries in line with scheduled routes.
• Completing routine vehicle checks and all relevant transport paperwork.

Shunter Duties:

• Moving trailers and goods safely around the depot yard.
• Supporting loading and unloading by working closely with the warehouse and traffic teams.
• Maintaining clear communication and following on-site procedures.

Schedule

Monday to Friday

Start times from 05:30 AM

Finish times may vary depending on route and workload.

Pay Rate

£16.73 per hour, paid weekly

Requirements

• Valid CE (Class 1) Licence
• CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
• Experience in trunking and/or shunting (preferred)
• A safety-focused, reliable, and professional attitude
