We are searching for a reliable Housing Support Worker to cover a 3-month full-time temporary contract with a wonderful client in the heart of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.

About the role:

  • Manage your own caseload of around 8-9 clients, delivering approximately 5 hours of one-to-one support each per week and building positive, purposeful working relationships.
  • Provide tenancy-related support, accompany clients to appointments, and carry out regular welfare checks.
  • Create, deliver and regularly review support plans, risk assessments, wellbeing plans and outcome-focused goals.
  • Lead meaningful, motivational conversations that encourage clients to engage with support and make informed choices about their lives.
  • Help clients access the right services for them, spanning rehabilitation, substance misuse support, mental health services, medical care, benefits, financial guidance, training, employment and community resources.
  • Apply trauma-informed, psychologically informed, strengths-based and empowering approaches throughout your practice.
  • Keep accurate records on the CRM system, covering case notes, interventions, risk updates, safeguarding concerns and outcomes.
  • Work confidently as a lone worker while following all relevant safety procedures and check-in protocols.

What you’ll bring:

  • At least 3 months of paid UK experience as a support worker or service coordinator in the last 2 years
  • Mandatory training completed (or willing to complete with us)
  • Up-to-date DBS
  • Right to work in the UK
  • A compassionate, person-centred and proactive approach, with a genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of vulnerable people.

Contract details:

  • Full-time temporary contract, 37.5 hours per week
  • Rolling rota: Week 1: 8am-4pm | Week 2: 9am-5pm (1 weekend shift included) | Week 3: 2pm-10pm
  • £14.24 – £22.41 per hour (includes holiday pay)
  • Pay rate depends on shift type – not experience
