We are Eden Futures, a provider of support services for people aged 18 and over with learning disabilities, autism, mental ill health and complex needs. We are recruiting Specialist Support Workers to support individuals in their own homes and in the community, helping them live as independently as possible.
Roles & Compensation
- Hourly rate of £13.20, equivalent annual salary £28,828.80 based on a 42‑hour week (pro‑rated based on hours worked).
- Bonus of £500 through our refer‑a‑friend scheme (unlimited referrals).
- We cannot offer sponsorship for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Support service users to lead a full and active life in line with their wishes and choices, considering their assessed needs and individual support and care plans, participating in the development of plans where applicable.
- Support individuals to stay safe, taking appropriate action to safeguard their welfare and protect them from abuse wherever possible.
- Provide emotional support when needed, maintaining a person‑centred approach.
- Support service users to participate in chosen social activities and services in their community, manage their finances and medication responsibly, help with practical tasks around the home, and support personal care, hygiene and healthcare in a respectful manner.
- Serve as an informal point of contact for those in the service users’ circle of support (e.g. families and social workers).
- Accurately report and record any issues related to the care and support of our service users to monitor their health and wellbeing.
- Comply with Health and Safety regulations and regard the Health, Safety and Welfare of others.
Candidate Profile
- Caring and compassionate, with a genuine passion for helping service users lead a full and active life and achieve as much independence as possible.
- Experience in the care sector is not mandatory; we recruit based on values.
- Ability to remain positive during challenging days, influencing how someone feels.
- Enjoys working as part of a team and using personal initiative, and is willing to support colleagues when needed.
- Minimum of 6–12 months working within care for Specialist Support Worker roles.
