Salary: Up to £17.00

Hours: Full time – Part time

We are seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team in providing essential care and support to individuals in need. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others through dedicated personal care services.

Principal Responsibilities

• Assist clients who need help getting up and going to bed in the morning and evenings, including dressing and undressing, washing, bathing and using the toilet.
• Help clients with their mobility and with any physical disabilities, including incontinence and use of personal aids and equipment.
• Care for clients who are temporarily sick and need bed nursing and help with feeding, etc.
• Provide care and support for clients who are terminally ill.
• Promote mental and physical activities of clients through talking, outings, reading, writing, hobbies and recreations.
• Make and change beds, light cleaning, empty commodes and general tidying.
• Inspect, launder and mend client clothes.
• Set tables and trays, prepare and serve light meals, clear and wash up.
• Read and write reports and be involved in client reviews and training activities.
• Adhere to all Caremark’s policies and procedures at all times.
• Report to the Field Care Supervisor or Care Manager any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a client.
• Encourage the independence of clients wherever possible.

Essential Requirements

• A valid driving license.
• A good level of spoken and written English.
