This role is all about using your practical skills and attention to detail to look after a place that people love. We’re looking for a Facilities Assistant at Attingham Park to help keep the whole place in good condition and running smoothly for all the people who visit.
You’ll work 15 hours per week. Your usual hours will be either: 8am-4pm, 9-5pm or 10-6pm to support the site and you’ll work 2 days each week, including regular weekends. You’ll be part of a team of Facilities Assistants who you’ll cover the week with on a rota basis, so you’ll need to have flexibility on which days you work. This can be discussed at the interview stage.

Built in 1785 and owned by the same family for five generation, today it is around 4,000 acres in size, and at its heart is a mansion, parkland, walled garden, play space, deer park and various food and beverage and retail outlets.
You’ll help with the day‑to‑day presentation of the National Trust’s buildings and outdoor spaces. You’ll be turning your hand to all sorts of cleaning and minor bits of maintenance, making sure that all our facilities are kept in good working order. You’ll also be asked to help with some manual work such as unloading deliveries.
Duties such as cleaning, sweeping and litter‑picking, both inside and outdoors, form a core part of this role. You’ll be aiming for the highest standards of customer service everywhere you look after, and this includes speaking to people as they visit and helping them with any queries. You might also get involved with general maintenance work and helping other teams if they need extra support.
