Job Description:

We are looking for a new Kitchen Manager at Dirty Martini Manchester, following the retirement of the current manager after 7 years of service. As Kitchen Manager, you will oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure the smooth functioning of the culinary team. Your leadership, culinary expertise, and organizational skills will be essential in maintaining high standards, coordinating kitchen activities, and delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and other kitchen personnel.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as stock ordering, rotas, and compliance.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members, fostering a positive and productive environment.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to standardized recipes and maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and portion sizes to deliver high‑quality dishes that meet restaurant standards.
  • Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet customer demand and ensure timely delivery of dishes.
  • Assist in monitoring kitchen inventory and supplies, ensuring that necessary ingredients and equipment are available for smooth operations.
  • Enforce strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a kitchen supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
  • In‑depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and cuisines.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage and motivate kitchen staff effectively.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.

Benefits and Compensation

This is a full‑time vacancy, contracted for a minimum of 40 hours per week, with a salary range of £30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience.
